Industrial Mechanic - Mechanical Maintenance

About the role

Michelin, a worldwide tire manufacturer with a commercial presence in over 170 countries, is recruiting Industrial Mechanics for its ASRC Louisville facility. Selected candidates receive personalized training to prepare them for work in one of the company's facilities. The industrial mechanic plans, organizes, directs and performs mechanical and electrical maintenance to maximize production while meeting product quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules and regulations for a safe work environment.
• Plan, coordinate and participate in preventive maintenance (PMs).
• Establish machine repair priorities and understand and troubleshoot machinery in assigned areas of the manufacturing process.
• Interface with production, quality, engineering and support functions.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures when working on equipment.
• Perform repairs and PMs affecting tire uniformity and quality, and complete all assigned duties.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• One of the following: 2-3 years of experience in a relevant maintenance position; an associate degree relevant to the position; a journeyman card relevant to the position; or military background with relevant technical training.
• Pass entry-level skills assessment in the craft and a company physical including a hair drug screen.

• Pay of $43.97 at Level 1, rising to $45.71 after 120 days for journeymen, plus a $1.25 shift adder.
