Engineering Co-Op 2027 – Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer or Electrical Engineering

About the role

Michelin Louisville is looking for engineering co-op students majoring in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer or Electrical Engineering to join the team at its petrochemical plant in Louisville, Kentucky. The facility produces synthetic rubber from monomer feedstocks and catalysts through a polymerization reaction; the product is then weighed, pressed into uniform bales and shipped to other Michelin factories for tire production. The site supplies rubber products used in tires in the USA, Canada and worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Work on a project team to analyze data to improve performance and/or production.
• Ensure products meet the defined quality and performance standards.
• Assist with productivity, cost-reduction and continuous-improvement projects.
• Study processes and propose improvements.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Computer or Electrical Engineering program, or an equivalent program, at an accredited four-year college or university.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Ability to interact professionally with external partners, suppliers, customers and colleagues.
• Success in working with others or teams to meet a common objective.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to learn other software systems.
