Industrial Equipment Technician – 3rd Shift

About the role

The Industrial Equipment Technician works the 3rd shift to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and machinery, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Install, assemble, align, wire and commission new machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical components such as motors, starters, relays, contactors, sensors, limit switches, solenoids, transformers and control panels.
• Diagnose and repair PLC‑controlled equipment, VFDs, servo motors and industrial automation systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints and equipment manuals.
• Use test equipment (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, megohm meters) to diagnose issues.
• Maintain accurate work orders and documentation in a CMMS.
• Respond to emergency equipment failures and participate in planned shutdowns.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ years experience as an Industrial Equipment Technician in an industrial setting.
• UAW Journey Card or ability to obtain one.
• Eligibility to work indefinitely in the U.S.; no sponsorship available.

Required skills

• Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and servo motor knowledge.
• Reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Use of electrical test equipment (multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, megohm meter).
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and OSHA/NFPA 70E safety compliance.
