Mechanical Project Engineer

About the role

Dematic is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join its Global Project Engineering team. The role involves designing complex mechanical systems, supporting material specifications, and collaborating with customers and cross‑functional teams to deliver projects.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design of complex systems integrating mechanical hardware, controls, and software.
• Create and check layouts, detailed drawings, and Bills of Materials for compliance with standards and customer specifications.
• Support on‑site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Perform site audits, follow purchase request processes, and contribute to design reviews.

Required profile

• BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of industry‑related mechanical engineering experience.
• Ability to understand project schedules, financial aspects, and maintain accurate records.

Required skills

• Proficient in CAD design software (AutoCAD or similar).
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Teams.
