Industrial Engineer (Entry/Experienced) FTW

About the role

Michelin is looking for an Industrial Engineer to lead and run continuous improvement in productivity and innovation, from specific work posts to transverse processes. Entry-level training is provided through formal classes and on-the-job mentoring with an expert area guide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and improve manufacturing processes, tools, equipment and work activities to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives, leading improvement projects and facilitating Kaizen/Lean events.
• Analyze and challenge existing procedures across the facilities, make recommendations and work with operational management to integrate solutions that improve the process.
• Help operational teams become more autonomous by building their skills in organizational change, project management and employee engagement.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience leading a team or project group: setting clear goals, delegating tasks, giving regular feedback and coaching, and fostering a positive work environment.
• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of industrial, manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, project or related technical experience; entry-level candidates may count internships, co-ops, apprenticeships or military service.
• Ability to influence and negotiate verbally and in writing, and to set and achieve goals with minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal skills, including empathy, dispute resolution and active listening.
