Industrial Engineer Analyst – Manufacturing Optimization

About the role

Whirlpool is seeking an Industrial Engineer Analyst to join its manufacturing team in Findlay, OH. The role focuses on improving production efficiency, reducing waste, and supporting cost‑effective operations across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze current production processes, conduct time studies, and evaluate performance metrics to identify inefficiencies.
• Design and implement new layouts, workflows, and production methods to optimize flow and resource utilization.
• Perform cost‑optimization analyses, recommend savings, and ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Lead improvement projects, handling planning, execution, and progress monitoring.
• Utilize statistical tools for data analysis, trend identification, and decision support.
• Maintain data integrity, update records, and support shift flexibility as needed.
• Assist with new product line workstation development and provide training to end‑users.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, chemical, or manufacturing).
• At least 1 year of experience in a process or manufacturing engineering role, including internships.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (1+ year experience).
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and WCM methodology.
• Familiarity with CAD software and data‑analysis tools such as SAP, Google Sheets, Smartsheets, and SolidWorks.
