Industrial Electrician - ASRC Louisville, KY

About the role

Michelin is hiring an Industrial Electrician (Electrical Troubleshooter) for its ASRC facility in Louisville, Kentucky. The role covers maintaining and repairing plant electrical systems and equipment, with a focus on safety, efficiency and documented work.

Key responsibilities

• Safely maintain plant electrical power distribution, including transformers, switch gears, panels and associated wiring.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant electrical systems such as balers, robots and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot and repair components such as motors, starters and PLCs.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements such as LOTO and PPE.
• Make interventions effective and efficient, preventing breakdowns and solving recurring defects.
• Document interventions and quality of coding, and carry out maintenance plans (transformers, protective devices, substation visits, thermographic analyses).

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• One of the following: 2-3 years of experience in a relevant maintenance position; an associate degree relevant to the maintenance position; a journeyman's card relevant to the position; or military background with relevant technical training.
• Pass the entry-level skills assessment for the craft and a company physical including a hair drug screen.

• Pay of $43.97 at Level 1, rising to $45.71 after 120 days for journeymen, plus a $1.25 shift adder.
