Industrial Business Development Representative

About the role

Barnhart is seeking a Business Development Representative to expand its industrial storage and project buffering business across the Gulf Coast. The role focuses on integrating storage and buffering solutions into complex projects and maintenance programs, supporting the company’s heavy‑lift, rigging, and transport services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and pursue opportunities for industrial storage, laydown yards, equipment staging, container storage and related services across the Gulf Coast market.
• Develop pipelines targeting mission‑critical equipment preservation, engaging plant reliability, maintenance and asset management stakeholders.
• Position storage and buffering as risk‑mitigation solutions, reducing laydown congestion and protecting high‑value assets.
• Build relationships with EPC contractors, energy and petrochemical owners, manufacturers and port‑related businesses, leveraging existing Barnhart accounts.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and project management teams to design customized proposals and ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, logistics, supply chain or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of business development or sales experience selling complex, solution‑based services to industrial, energy or petrochemical accounts.
• Strong understanding of the Gulf Coast industrial landscape and the role of storage in turnaround, outage and capital project cycles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to travel extensively within the Gulf Coast region.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software such as Salesforce.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
