Indoor Horticulture Supervisor – Connecticut

About the role

John Mini Distinctive Landscapes is seeking an Indoor Horticulture Supervisor to lead its indoor service team across Connecticut. You will oversee daily service execution for commercial clients, ensuring high‑quality interior plant care and strong customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage route coverage, quality control, and field support for horticulturists serving commercial locations.
• Lead a team of horticulturists, providing coaching, mentoring, and real‑time feedback.
• Conduct regular in‑person and virtual client meetings to maintain relationships and address needs.
• Collaborate with the Account Manager to set and achieve individual, team, and business goals.
• Oversee service budgets, monitor expenses, and drive operational efficiency.
• Coordinate scheduling, installations, plant refreshes, inventory management, and special projects.
• Identify opportunities to enhance client services and support business growth.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of horticulture experience.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of interior plant care and horticultural best practices.
• Experience with budgeting, expense monitoring, and inventory control.
• Ability to lead and develop a horticultural team.
