Imaging RN – Neuro Expansion

About the role

The Imaging Registered Nurse will work within the Neurological Institute’s new state‑of‑the‑art facility, providing care for patients undergoing neuro interventional radiology, CT, MRI, and vascular access procedures. This blended specialty role offers variety across multiple imaging and procedural areas and supports professional growth through phased onboarding and cross‑training.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care before, during, and after neurological interventional radiology, CT, MRI, and vascular access procedures.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor patients throughout procedures, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and develop individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, medications, and post‑procedure care.
• Collaborate with technologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, efficient, patient‑centered care.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of recent RN experience (or two years LPN experience in the same department as a substitute).
• Preferred: BSN, two years recent RN experience in acute care, procedural, or specialty settings.

Required skills

• Vascular Access procedures (including PICC lines).
• Interventional Radiology techniques.
• CT and MRI imaging procedures.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
