Hydrogen Furnace Operator – Precision Brazing

About the role

Lunar Resources seeks a Hydrogen Furnace Operator to manage atmosphere‑controlled furnaces used for brazing, annealing and surface preparation of high‑reliability electromechanical assemblies. You will ensure precise thermal cycles and gas atmospheres to meet strict UHV hermetic sealing requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor hydrogen and forming‑gas furnace cycles for brazing, annealing and surface preparation.
• Document thermal profiles, atmosphere conditions, dew points and cycle parameters for each run.
• Load and unload assemblies with careful fixturing, orientation and contamination control.
• Inspect finished parts for braze quality, surface condition and dimensional compliance.
• Maintain furnace systems, including gas delivery, safety interlocks, thermocouples and atmosphere controls.
• Coordinate with engineers and welders to sequence thermal processing within production workflow.
• Flag deviations, investigate root causes and support traceability for high‑reliability hardware.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience operating atmosphere‑controlled furnaces (hydrogen, forming gas, nitrogen or vacuum) in production or R&D.
• Understanding of brazing metallurgy, thermal profiles and the impact of gas chemistry on joint quality.
• Familiarity with dissimilar metal assemblies such as Kovar, copper and stainless steel.
• Comfort working with hydrogen safety systems, gas handling equipment and safety interlocks.
• Ability to read and follow process travelers, work orders and engineering drawings.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
