Human Resources Manager

About the role

Magpie Health Analytics is seeking a full-time, remote Human Resources Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations and develop scalable HR processes for its growing workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruiting and hiring processes, including job postings, candidate coordination, offers, background checks, and drug screening.
• Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding, coordinating activities with managers and other functions.
• Administer benefits, leave, PTO, personnel records, and related HR programs.
• Support managers with employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns.
• Develop, maintain, and improve HR policies, procedures, workflows, and documentation.
• Monitor federal, state, and local employment requirements and integrate them into HR practices.
• Coordinate with contracts, compliance, IT, payroll, benefits providers, and other teams to ensure HR processes meet business and federal‑contractor requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience managing a broad range of responsibilities.
• Proven experience in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits, leave administration, and employee separation.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws across multiple states.
• Strong research ability to address unfamiliar HR issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
