Human Resources Assistant Manager

About the role

The Human Resources Assistant Manager supports the Area HR Manager in delivering HR services across multiple store locations. This role focuses on training, payroll administration, employee relations, and recruitment to ensure smooth HR operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Area HR Manager on employee relations issues and staffing objectives.
• Process HR reports, maintain personnel files, and enforce timecard policies.
• Handle employee inquiries regarding leaves, PTO, workers compensation, and other HR matters.
• Assist with interviews, investigations, disciplinary actions, and store‑level HR support.
• Provide training to Store Managers and HR Coordinators on HR processes, employment law, and recruiting.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment events, job fairs, and external sourcing.
• Manage onboarding activities, orientation, and new‑hire documentation.
• Collaborate with store managers to control monthly personnel costs and resolve HR issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum two years of HR or related experience; retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
