About the role
We are looking for a highly organized Human Resources Administrator to support HR operations for a growing multi‑location restaurant group in New York City. The role will handle recruitment, onboarding, employee records and day‑to‑day HR administration across several front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house locations.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding for new hires across all restaurant locations
- Ensure completion of employment documentation (I‑9, W‑4, direct deposit forms, etc.)
- Maintain organized employee personnel files and digital HR records
- Maintain candidate pipelines and track hiring progress
- Ensure employee documentation complies with federal, state, and New York labor laws
- Track required certifications, training, and work eligibility documents
- Support HR leadership with audits and compliance reviews
- Maintain HR systems and employee databases
- Serve as an HR contact for restaurant managers and staff across multiple locations
- Assist with employee transfers, promotions, and role changes between locations
- Coordinate HR communications and updates across the organization
- Assist with Workers Compensation filing, administration and follow‑up as needed
- Respond to basic HR inquiries from restaurant staff
- Assist with employee relations documentation when required
Required profile
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred)
- 1–3 years of HR, administrative, or hospitality experience
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage HR tasks across multiple restaurant locations
