HRIS Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

The HRIS Intern supports the Human Resources Information Systems team in maintaining, enhancing and optimizing Workday and related HR systems. The role offers hands-on experience with HR technology, data management, reporting and system support, working closely with Human Resources, Recruiting and Information Technology teams. It reports to the Director, HRIS.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the HRIS partner for assigned workstreams in Workday, consulting HR and recruiting team members, gathering requirements and providing solutions and impact analysis.
• Research current and upcoming Workday capabilities and evaluate releases to identify improvement opportunities.
• Assist in testing integrations, security and annual events.
• Maintain master data values in Workday such as job posting locations and onboarding document locations.
• Act as a resource for resolving Workday issues, unexpected results or process gaps.
• Share knowledge with the HRIS Manager, Workday team members and other stakeholders, and take part in scheduled and ad hoc training.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; actively pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to see detail at near range, lift or carry up to 10 pounds occasionally, and perform sedentary work.
• Access to confidential employee records; employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen.
