HR Manager - Fragrance & Beauty Division

About the role

Givaudan is looking for an HR Manager for its Fragrance & Beauty Division Consumer Products, based at the Ridgedale, NJ site. The role implements the local HR strategy in line with corporate guidelines and acts as HR business partner to managers and employees across the sites. It is a hybrid position (4 days in the office, 1 day remote), with occasional travel to the Custom Essence site in Somerset, NJ. Salary expectation is $134,000 to $166,000 depending on technical experience.

Key responsibilities

• Advise management on HR management practices and use data and reports to recommend policy and process solutions aligned with HR strategy.
• Lead or help implement corporate and site HR projects.
• Support mid-level managers and employees, identify issues needing resolution and support organizational effectiveness through team building and goal/role clarification.
• Take part in performance management, compensation reviews, annual merit and incentive cycles, benefits enquiries and talent acquisition, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Clarify roles and streamline HR processes, and promote people management practices with value-added reporting.
• Counsel managers and employees on HR matters, performance, discipline, organizational decisions and career development, and interpret HR policies and employment law.
• Manage complex employee relations issues such as performance management, annual pay and bonus reviews, learning and development, talent and succession planning.
• Coach HR colleagues and managers on legislation and employee relations policies, and lead union and council meetings and negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with employment law and occupational health matters, in collaboration with the occupational health department.

Required profile

• University degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• 8+ years of HR experience with international organizations.
• Experience supporting employee relations and people management, and working with mid-level managers.
• Fluent English.
• Experience with D&I and change management.
