HR Generalist

About the role

The Human Resources Specialist (HR Generalist) supports global functions as a member of the Global HR Team, performing professional-level human resources work. The role focuses on personal and department accountability, customer service and work efficiency. It can be based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Tempe, Arizona or Columbus, Indiana.

Key responsibilities

• Support HR projects, summarise information, give opinions and recommend actions
• Investigate employee complaints, evaluate options and advise on courses of action
• Help with job postings, screen candidates through interviews, schedule pre-placement exams and on-board new employees
• Research and recommend to management on new legislation affecting workers' compensation and HR practices
• Maintain HR records, including incidents and their resolutions
• Help the HR Director stay compliant with employment and workers' compensation laws, and respond to employment-related civil actions and federal agency changes
• Maintain confidential files electronically, using spreadsheets and databases
• Support other HR team members with administrative needs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources strongly preferred
• 1-2 years of experience in a HR department, with a focus on legal and/or analytical functions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced, confidential environment with changing priorities; some travel may be required
