HR Generalist

About the role

The HR Generalist provides day‑to‑day human resources support for assigned operations, acting as a bridge between employees and managers while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Based in Bettsville, OH, the role includes occasional travel to other regional sites.

Key responsibilities

• Administer HR policies, procedures, and programs for company personnel.
• Support the operations team with regular reporting (weekly, monthly, annual).
• Manage recruitment activities, including job postings, interview coordination, and new‑hire onboarding.
• Assist with compensation program administration for designated groups.
• Handle labor‑relation tasks such as CBA compliance, grievance processing, and negotiation preparation.
• Facilitate employee‑relations issue resolution between staff and management.
• Partner with the HR Manager on performance‑management processes, including coaching, disciplinary actions, reviews, and exit interviews.
• Maintain compliance documentation and reports for DOL, EEOC, NLRB, and other regulatory bodies.
• Administer and provide training on HRIS platforms (Oracle, ADP, Dimensions, HireRight).
• Support employee engagement, sustainability, and community‑relations initiatives.
• Maintain organization charts and employee files, and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a multi‑site environment.
• Knowledge of HR best practices, labor‑union relations, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail.
