Housekeeping Operations Coordinator

About the role

The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is looking for a Housekeeping Operations Coordinator within its Housekeeping department. The role involves answering the telephone, dispatching calls and handling guest requests, and is based indoors in a heated, below-ground setting.

Key responsibilities

• Answer the telephone and dispatch calls
• Take guest requests
• Maintain control of Lost and Found items
• Make babysitting arrangements

Required profile

• Office and telephone experience
• High school diploma or G.E.D.; some college preferred
• Ability to take and give orders correctly, and to work well with staff and guests
• Supervision from the Assistant Director and Assistant Housekeepers, but also able to work independently
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, planning ability and multitasking
• Consistent demonstration of the Ten Essential Attributes, strong work ethic and reliability

Required skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills and a good telephone voice
• Basic computer knowledge is helpful
• Posture: frequent standing (up to 5.5 hours in an 8-hour shift) and sitting
