Housekeeping Manager

About the role

Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to lead its housekeeping team and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The role suits someone with strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality and a proven track record in managing housekeeping operations in a hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily assignments of housekeeping staff, analyze room turns and adjust staffing or procedures as needed
• Develop, implement and maintain housekeeping standards and procedures
• Interview and select departmental line-level colleagues
• Maintain optimal staffing levels and ensure smooth, cost-effective operations, including labor management and inventory control
• Coordinate with other hotel departments and special projects as directed by the Director, Housekeeping
• Keep leadership informed of departmental updates and hold regular team meetings
• Evaluate team performance, mentor team members and leaders, and oversee third-party uniform and laundry services

Required profile

• Minimum of two years of experience in housekeeping and/or guest services
• Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in hospitality, or a B.S. in Hospitality with one year in a leadership development program
• Effective verbal and written communication in English
• Open availability aligned with business needs, including peak service times
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, push and pull 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout a shift

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, computer and smartphone programs, and Property Management Systems
• Familiarity with Opera and HOTSOS is preferred
• Completion of OSHA-mandated safety training within the first 30 days
