Housekeeper - Loews Hotels Universal Orlando

About the role

Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is hiring a housekeeper for its hotel at the Universal Orlando Resort. The team cleans and prepares guest rooms to Loews standards, works a varied schedule and must be able to stand, walk and lift repeatedly during a shift.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all assigned rooms within shift time, passing inspections, making beds and cleaning floors, bathrooms, shower walls, tubs, doors, toilets, windows, trash cans, glasses and all surfaces, with a visual inspection before leaving each room.
• Use proper chemicals as described by department procedures and safety regulations.
• Perform all duties safely with personal protective equipment and appropriate tools.
• Replace amenities and linens according to Loews standards.
• Move housekeeping carts with supplies and amenities, keeping them clean and organized.
• Use a smartphone to access guest room assignments and report unusual conditions or rooms needing repair by submitting work orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hospitality or a relevant industry is required.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HOTSOS preferred.
• Must complete OSHA-mandated safety training within the first 30 days.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with team members, leaders and guests.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Ability to withstand prolonged standing, walking, lifting, pushing and pulling 100+ pounds, and to work outdoors for long periods.
