House Attendant

About the role

Aloft Orlando International Drive, a 144-room hotel in Orlando, Florida, is hiring a House Attendant. The role keeps public hotel areas clean and tidy in line with brand and guest service standards, and offers a growth path to Housekeeping Supervisor, Guest Service Agent, Executive Housekeeper or Front Office Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public hotel areas according to brand, guest service and sustainability standards.
• Greet guests courteously and inspect assigned areas, performing cleaning tasks accordingly.
• Collect trash from service landings and dispose of it in outside dumpsters; vacuum and dust guest corridors.
• Pick up bed and other linen from hotel floors and deliver clean linen to assigned sections.
• Report maintenance issues and respond to guest inquiries and requests for assistance.
• Work as a room attendant when staffing is short or during peak periods.
• Follow sustainability guidelines under the HHM EarthView program, practice safe work habits, wear protective equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties requested by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, push, pull and lift up to 25 pounds, and to reach, bend and kneel.
• Willingness to work holidays, weekends and alternate shifts.
