Hospitalist Physician – Adult Inpatient Care

About the role
Join Ochsner Health as a Hospitalist physician delivering comprehensive care to adult patients admitted to the hospital. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective treatment and support Ochsner's mission of healing, education, and innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care for hospitalized adult patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management.
- Prescribe medications, and recommend dietary and activity plans as appropriate.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging to aid in clinical decision‑making.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and maintain strong communication with primary care physicians, consultants, and ancillary staff.
- Perform necessary administrative duties related to patient care and documentation.
Required profile
- Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.).
- Active license to practice medicine in Louisiana.
- Completion of an internal medicine residency.
