About the role

The Hospice Aide provides compassionate, patient‑centered care for individuals receiving hospice services in their homes, nursing facilities, or assisted‑living centers. Working evenings with occasional weekend and holiday rotations, the aide supports patients and families during end‑of‑life care.

Key responsibilities

Perform basic patient care activities, including personal hygiene, ADL assistance, and safe transfers.
Assist with physician‑ordered procedures under supervision of RN, PT, OT, or ST.
Document and report changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff.
Maintain a clean, orderly environment for each patient.

Required profile

High School Diploma or GED.
State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) certification on the Ohio Nurse’s Aide Registry.
Valid Ohio driver’s license with required automobile insurance coverage.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross) obtained during orientation.
