Hospice Aide CNA

About the role

James River Home Health and Hospice is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide hospice aide services in patients' homes. You will join a multidisciplinary care team to support patients with personal care and monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Perform personal care services such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding according to the Aide Plan of Care.
• Document care, take vital signs, and report any deviations or changes in the patient’s condition to the Case Manager or Registered Nurse.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, range of motion, and support specialized procedures under RN direction.
• Participate in on‑call duties and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) with the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
• At least one year of experience as a CNA, hospice aide, or home health aide; hospice experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle for work use.
