Heavy Equipment Operator – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and safety‑conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to run a variety of construction machinery on road, commercial, residential and infrastructure projects. The role involves excavation, grading, paving and material handling while adhering to safety regulations and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Operate excavators, asphalt screeds, asphalt rollers, front‑end loaders and bulldozers safely and efficiently.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling, earthmoving and paving operations.
• Grade surfaces according to plans, load and transport construction materials, and stockpile them as needed.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections, basic preventive maintenance and report any malfunctions or safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate equipment operation logs and maintenance records while following OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.
• Ability to read site plans, grade stakes and construction drawings.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) and OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
