Construction Skilled Laborer

About the role

The Construction Skilled Laborer supports project teams on construction sites by performing a variety of physical tasks, handling tools and materials, and assisting skilled trades. The role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sites, handle and transport materials, and maintain a clean job site.
• Operate hand and power tools safely, and assist trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or masonry.
• Read basic blueprints and drawings, measure, cut, and assemble materials according to specifications.
• Load and unload equipment, follow safety regulations, and collaborate with supervisors to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Previous construction or trade experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lb, stand, walk, kneel, climb, and work in varied weather conditions.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA safety procedures and a strong work ethic.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Required skills

• Hand tools and power‑tool operation.
• Reading and interpreting basic blueprints.
• Material measurement, cutting, and assembly.
• Heavy equipment operation (forklift, skid steer) – preferred.
