HealthShare Application Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a HealthShare Application Engineer to support a large federal government project. This 100% remote position involves maintaining InterSystems HealthShare environments, healthcare interoperability solutions, and cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Support installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management for HealthShare, IRIS, and Caché.
• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines and automation using tools such as Jenkins and Ansible.
• Provide Tier 3 production support for interoperability services, including HL7, FHIR, and CDA/CCDA interfaces.
• Manage certificate lifecycle, authentication (OAuth, SSO, ADFS) and access management.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and participate in on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in healthcare IT, federal contracting, or related environments.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Government/Public Trust clearance.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with InterSystems HealthShare, IRIS, or Caché.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, CDA/CCDA, APIs and related healthcare data standards.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AWS certification preferred.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix administration, Apache, Python scripting, and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch.
