About the role
The Healthcare Youth Accelerator Apprenticeship provides high‑school seniors with a paid, hands‑on entry into healthcare. Apprentices work 16 hours per week at a world‑class hospital, earn $19.36 per hour, and receive a fully funded associate degree in nursing, surgical technology or radiology.
Key responsibilities
- Perform entry‑level support tasks such as moving patients, delivering supplies, and assisting care teams.
- Progress to clinical support roles, helping nurses, surgical technologists or radiology staff with patient care and procedures.
Required profile
- High‑school senior with a B‑grade or higher in prerequisite classes.
- Interest in pursuing a career as a registered nurse, certified surgical technologist or radiologic technologist.
Required skills
- Basic patient‑handling and safety awareness.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a hospital environment.
