About the role

H.C. Wainwright & Co. is seeking a Healthcare Investment Banking Analyst to join its boutique investment bank in New York City. The analyst will work on high‑profile transactions in the Life Sciences and Biopharmaceutical sectors, supporting senior bankers and interacting directly with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare client presentations and transaction materials.
• Conduct company and industry research, focusing on biotech and life‑science markets.
• Build and maintain complex financial valuation models.
• Track capital‑markets activity and provide market insights.
• Support due‑diligence processes and deal execution.
• Generate ideas for new business opportunities and assist senior bankers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, economics, or life sciences.
• Strong interest in the Life Sciences sector and financial markets.
• High energy, adaptable, and collaborative attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented self‑starter with a strong work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience building financial valuation models.
