About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a full‑time Healthcare Credentialing Specialist to support the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. The role involves verifying, reviewing, and maintaining credentialing documentation for clinical support staff and healthcare providers serving a military medical treatment facility.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with verification and review of professional education, specialized training, licensure, and background information for prospective and current clinical support staff and healthcare providers.
• Obtain and review required credentialing documentation to confirm authenticity and adequacy of medical and professional qualifications.
• Determine completeness of credentialing and background documentation prior to employment or placement.
• Monitor and track professional licenses, certifications, registrations, DEA status, and required contingency training.
• Research and respond to inquiries from healthcare institutions regarding work, training, or performance history of staff.
• Maintain accurate credentialing and administrative information using government systems and databases.
• Perform administrative support activities such as scanning, copying, printing, faxing, typing, and records processing.
• Handle credentialing records and sensitive information in compliance with DoD, DHA, privacy, and information‑security requirements.

Required profile

• Experience verifying professional education, licensure, and background information for healthcare personnel.
• Familiarity with credentialing processes for clinical support staff and providers.
• Ability to work onsite daily at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information securely.
• Understanding of Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency, and Naval Medical Center credentialing regulations.
