About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a full-time Healthcare Credentialing Specialist to work onsite at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA. The role supports the Navy’s medical treatment facility by verifying, reviewing, and maintaining credentialing records for clinical support staff and healthcare providers.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and review professional education, specialized training, licensure, and background information for prospective and current clinical staff.
• Obtain, assess, and document credentialing evidence to confirm authenticity and adequacy of qualifications.
• Monitor and track licenses, certifications, DEA status, registrations, and required training for privileged and non-privileged providers.
• Research and respond to inquiries from healthcare institutions regarding staff performance and training history.
• Maintain accurate credentialing data using government systems and databases.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scanning, copying, printing, faxing, typing, and records processing.
• Handle sensitive credentialing records in compliance with DoD, DHA, and Naval Medical Center privacy and security requirements.

Required profile

• Ability to work onsite daily at the client location in Portsmouth, VA.
• Experience handling confidential personnel and healthcare information.
• Familiarity with government credentialing processes and compliance standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
