About the role
As a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) you will provide exceptional customer service to patients, families and visitors, enhancing the Cleveland Clinic experience. Using your administrative and clerical abilities, you will keep the unit’s operations running smoothly so caregivers can focus on optimal patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Greet, welcome and orient newly admitted or transferred patients.
- Respond to patient call lights and make regular rounds.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
- Guide patients and families with way‑finding and resource information.
- Maintain patient medical records and troubleshoot unit equipment such as call systems and portable phones.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in a customer‑service related role.
- College degree (preferred) and experience with Microsoft Office (preferred).
