Health Records Clerk – Remote (Greater Bakersfield Area)

About the role

Innovative Integrated Health (IIH) is seeking a detail‑driven Health Records Clerk to manage and maintain high‑integrity participant health records. The role supports clinical care teams, scheduling desks, and external providers, ensuring that charts, lab results, and consultation notes are accurately uploaded and accessible for optimal care management.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and prepare medical charts for newly onboarded participants, compiling clinical histories.
• Scan, index, and upload external medical documents into electronic health record (EHR) platforms.
• Gather diagnostic results, specialist notes, procedure logs, and hospital discharge summaries.
• Route clinical notes to appropriate care providers and track pending medical orders or follow‑ups.
• Handle incoming medical record requests while maintaining strict privacy and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Terminology Certificate strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of health records management experience and 1 year supporting elderly or frail populations.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Familiarity with EHR platforms, clinical document filing standards, and Microsoft Office Suite.
