About the role
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities seeks a Health Aide/Safety Monitor to work in the Admissions Unit at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta. This part‑time position ensures a safe environment for patients entering the admissions area.
Key responsibilities
- Check all patients entering the Admissions Area for contraband before placement.
- Monitor patient activity and prevent negative interactions among patients.
- Maintain a safe environment and protect self and others from harm.
Required profile
- At least one year of experience in mental health, medical, or related field.
- Experience performing direct care activities or basic nursing procedures.
- Experience working with forensic patients or correctional offenders.
- Valid driver’s license.
Required skills
- Proficient computer skills.
