Head of Logistics Americas

About the role

Airbus, through its Satair division, is seeking a Head of Logistics for the Americas region. Based near Dulles Airport in Sterling, VA, you will lead a global warehousing and distribution team, driving operational excellence and supporting the company’s sustainable aviation mission.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute warehouse operations and logistics strategy across the Americas.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and operational‑excellence programs.
• Oversee compliance, risk management, and safety standards.
• Manage financial and resource planning for logistics activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including supply‑chain, sales, and engineering.
• Travel approximately 20% of the time for domestic and international business engagements.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in supply‑chain or materials management.
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of materials management, warehouse and transportation operations.
• Proven ability to mentor staff, foster a quality culture, and drive career growth.
• Excellent conflict‑management, team‑building, and motivational leadership skills.
