Material Handler – Inventory & Shipping Specialist

About the role

Moog is seeking a Material Handler to support inventory management and shipping operations at its Blacksburg, VA facility. The role involves handling incoming and outgoing materials, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of components to support production.

Key responsibilities

• Package components and final assemblies according to detailed packing instructions and documentation.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and manage dock/warehouse area.
• Unload incoming materials, verify shipments, and enter data into the computer system.
• Process sales orders, schedule shipments, and reconcile physical inventory with system totals.
• Assist in training and cross‑training of team members.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow work instructions and training.
• Minimum three years of experience in inventory, manufacturing, or related material handling roles.
• Valid driver’s license and mechanical aptitude with good dexterity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Data entry and computer‑based inventory management.
