Head of Insurance Carrier Strategy & Network Partnerships

About the role

COVU is building an AI-native infrastructure for the insurance industry and needs a senior leader to drive carrier strategy and launch the COVU Network. Reporting to the COO, you will consolidate carrier appointments across acquired agencies, negotiate improved terms, and design the operational layer that enables agencies to scale under a single platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all carrier communications, appointment negotiations, and ongoing relationship management.
• Consolidate agency-level appointments into master agreements and improve access to preferred products and underwriting.
• Build and scale the sub-appointment model and compliant onboarding playbooks for new agencies and producers.
• Collaborate with data, product, sales and agency success teams to integrate carrier appetite, quoting logic and submission flows into the platform.
• Drive operational excellence through clear ownership, rapid iteration, documentation and accountability.

Required profile

• 6–10+ years of experience in carrier relations, distribution strategy, commercial insurance or insurtech partnerships.
• Proven ability to execute quickly with strong attention to detail and accountability.
• Comfortable negotiating appointments, onboarding producers and managing compliance.
• Deep understanding of insurance distribution from appetite to quoting to commissions.
