Head of Assurance Office

About the role

Avidyne seeks a senior assurance leader to own quality, certification, audit and internal process assurance across all product lines, reporting directly to the President.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate Quality, Certification, Audit and Internal Process Assurance into a single independent organization.
• Define and maintain processes for FAA, EASA and Part 145 compliance, including certification management.
• Lead development assurance for DO-178 and DO-254, manage Material Review Board activities and non‑conforming material handling.
• Authority to halt production when safety or compliance issues arise.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years in quality, certification or assurance within a regulated design/manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing multiple functions or teams.
• Strong understanding of aerospace or safety‑critical manufacturing regulations.

Required skills

• DO-178 and DO-254 development assurance.
• ARP-4754 lifecycle processes.
• AS9100 Lead Auditor certification.
• ASQ certifications (CQE, CQM, CQA).
• Experience with Part 21 and Part 145 regulated environments.
• FAA DER/DAR processes.
• FMEA and formal risk management in hardware development.
