Group Exercise Instructor – Spin

About the role

The YMCA of Greater Boston seeks a Part‑Time Group Exercise Instructor to lead Spin classes at Oak Square YMCA. You will create a safe, enjoyable environment for participants of all fitness levels while promoting healthy habits.

Key responsibilities

• Lead energizing, fun, and safe group Spin classes, adapting movements to meet participants’ abilities and cultural needs.
• Maintain accurate class attendance using MotionVibe software and follow YMCA policies, including emergency response.
• Engage with members, answer questions, and celebrate their progress toward health goals.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience delivering group exercise classes.
• Current Group Exercise certification from a nationally recognized, NCCA‑accredited organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, ISSA).
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
