Grocery Clerk – Full‑time Stocking & Customer Service

About the role

The Grocery Clerk is responsible for stocking merchandise, maintaining product freshness, and delivering excellent customer service in a busy grocery environment. This full‑time role supports the store’s daily operations and ensures a clean, organized shopping experience for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and verify deliveries, then store products in designated areas.
• Stock shelves, displays, coolers, and freezers, rotating items using a first‑in‑first‑out method.
• Maintain clean and orderly aisles, display cases, and work areas, following sanitation procedures.
• Assist customers courteously, greet them, and address inquiries or complaints.
• Monitor temperatures, report refrigeration issues, and perform price changes as needed.
• Support front‑end bagging during busy periods and handle overstock in the stockroom.

Required profile

• Minimum age 16 (18 to operate compactor); authorized to work in the U.S.
• Completed grocery operation training and ability to prioritize workload.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Flexibility to work schedules based on store business needs.
