About the role
Join a leading sustainability enterprise in Los Angeles as a Graduate Sustainability Consultant. You will work directly with corporate clients, real‑estate developers, and municipal agencies to drive decarbonisation, resource efficiency, and compliance with local environmental regulations. The role includes a structured mentorship program that prepares you to become an autonomous specialist within 18 months.
Key responsibilities
- Carbon Accounting & Reporting: Compile and verify Scope 1, 2, 3 greenhouse‑gas emissions inventories using enterprise sustainability software.
- Built Environment Strategy: Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to analyse building‑scale data and support certifications such as LEED, WELL, or local energy codes.
- Data Analytics & Modeling: Build and maintain data models that track client resource usage, focusing on water stewardship, waste diversion, and energy efficiency.
- ESG Materiality: Conduct market research and peer benchmarking to help clients identify and prioritise long‑term ESG risks.
Required profile
- Education: Recently completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Infrastructure, Engineering, Economics, or a related data‑driven discipline.
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable managing large spreadsheets and data sets, with the ability to spot trends.
- California‑Conscious: Interest in California climate policies such as Title 24 and building decarbonisation mandates.
- Communication Skills: Ability to translate technical metrics into clear, actionable business insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
