Grading Foreman – Heavy Civil Site Development

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Grading Foreman to lead field crews on heavy civil site development projects across the Southeast. The role focuses on safe, organized, and productive earth‑moving operations while maintaining high quality and schedule performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and promote the company’s safety culture in all field operations.
• Develop daily plans for assigned phases of work and coordinate resources.
• Read and interpret blueprints, utility profiles, and project specifications.
• Ensure proper layout, grade checking, and elevation control using levels, lasers, and GPS.
• Stage materials, equipment, and manpower for efficient workflow.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
• Submit accurate daily reports and review crew timecards.
• Communicate project status to Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Train and develop crew members, fostering skill growth.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a foreman in heavy civil site development.
• Proven experience with mass earth moving and finish grading.
• Strong knowledge of trench safety, OSHA standards, and utility installation best practices.
• Valid driver’s license and U.S. citizenship.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment drug screening and background check.
