Pipe Foreman – Underground Wet Utilities

About the role

C.A. Murren is seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman to lead crews installing water, sewer, and storm drainage systems on heavy civil site development projects throughout the southeastern United States. The role combines hands‑on field leadership with safety and quality oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and promote the company’s safety culture on all field operations.
• Supervise pipe crews performing water, sewer, and storm drain installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, utility profiles, and project specifications.
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities, stage materials, equipment, and manpower.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance, and submit daily reports.
• Train and develop crew members, fostering skill growth.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience as a foreman in heavy civil underground wet utilities.
• Proven experience installing water, sewer, and storm drain systems.
• Strong knowledge of trench safety, OSHA standards, and utility installation best practices.
• Valid driver’s license and U.S. citizenship.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑employment drug screening and background check.

Required skills

• Blueprint reading and utility profile interpretation.
• Grade checking, layout, and elevation control using levels, lasers, and GPS.
• Computer proficiency for daily reporting, email, and time entry.
