Government Contract Specialist

About the role

Join our Dayton office in a hybrid role (Monday and Tuesday) to manage government purchasing vehicles and contract relationships. You will ensure contracts remain compliant, commercially viable, and aligned with business needs while supporting government customers.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary owner for federal and state contract vehicles such as GSA Multiple Award Schedule, FEDLINK agreements, and state MSAs.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle: awards, modifications, renewals, extensions, pricing updates, and closeout.
• Maintain a calendar of expiration dates, renewal windows, reporting deadlines, and other milestones.
• Proactively initiate renewals and modifications to avoid lapses in coverage.
• Ensure accurate contract documentation and system records.
• Partner with Sales, Pricing, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Product teams.
• Identify and resolve contract‑related issues before they impact customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong organizational and project‑management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑management abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Analytical skills to assess contract requirements, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Negotiation and problem‑solving mindset.
