Senior Litigation Counsel

About the role

The Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission (ARDC) of the Illinois Supreme Court is seeking three full‑time Senior Litigation Counsel to join its Chicago litigation team. The role involves investigating attorney misconduct, prosecuting disciplinary matters, and protecting the public and the courts.

Key responsibilities

• Review and investigate allegations of professional misconduct of attorneys.
• Analyze investigative materials such as case files, court documents, and financial records.
• Conduct sworn statements and depositions of attorney respondents and witnesses.
• Collaborate with the Litigation Group Manager and support staff to develop investigative plans and case strategies.
• Interpret and apply the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct in disciplinary prosecutions before the Hearing Board.
• Prepare pleadings, conduct discovery, and prosecute cases before the ARDC Hearing Board.
• Respond to callers to the ARDC Ethics Inquiry Program, providing guidance on professional responsibilities and disciplinary case law.
