Go Backend Developer

About the role

Rare Candy is seeking a Go Backend Developer to build and maintain the services and APIs that power its trading‑card platform. You will work closely with the CTO and the engineering team to deliver backend features that collectors rely on daily.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve Go backend services for collector‑facing products.
• Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs, collaborating with mobile and frontend engineers.
• Design relational data models, write efficient SQL, and manage safe database migrations.
• Implement business logic, background jobs, and third‑party integrations for collections, marketplace activity, and Instapacks.
• Write automated tests, investigate production bugs, and enhance reliability and performance using logs and metrics.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of backend development experience with production‑ready features.
• Strong proficiency in Go, including error handling, interfaces, concurrency basics, and testing.
• Experience building and maintaining APIs; GraphQL experience is a plus.
• Solid background with relational databases and SQL, including schema design and transactions.
• Passion for trading‑card or collector communities.
