GN&C Engineer – Space Systems

About the role

Join Oceaneering’s GN&C Aerosciences and Flight Mechanics team supporting NASA’s JETS II contract. You will work on safety‑critical flight software for human spaceflight and deep‑space exploration programs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and test GN&C algorithms and safety‑critical flight software.
• Use MATLAB/Simulink/Autocode to update GN&C flight software and Python/C++ for analysis and testing.
• Validate and verify GN&C algorithms and requirements, providing improvement recommendations.
• Perform deep‑dive analyses of flight and simulation software.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• Significant knowledge of GN&C and experience with 6‑DOF algorithm development.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with NASA civil servants and contractors.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and ability to pass a government background check.
