About the role

The Rankin County School District is seeking a dedicated Gifted Teacher for grades 26‑27 to join its tradition of academic excellence. The successful candidate will inspire students, deliver rigorous instruction, and support their development as responsible, capable individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes according to the school schedule and principal’s directives.
• Design and implement a curriculum that meets diverse student needs, interests, and abilities while aligning with state standards.
• Employ varied instructional techniques and media to promote high‑level learning for all students.
• Manage a respectful, learning‑focused classroom environment and maintain effective use of space, time, and resources.
• Communicate regularly with families/guardians to support student progress.
• Prepare lesson plans, assess student achievement, and provide timely progress reports.
• Identify potential learning disabilities and collaborate on appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate records and assist administration with policy implementation.

Required profile

• Valid teaching certification for the relevant grade levels.
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for gifted and diverse learners.
