Geriatric Medicine Physician

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a dedicated Geriatric Medicine Physician to join its Department of Medicine at the 17th Street Hospital in Allentown, PA. The physician will provide comprehensive care for elderly patients across multiple settings, including outpatient memory center, inpatient consult services, and post‑acute care facilities.

Key responsibilities

• See 10‑15 geriatric patients daily in outpatient, inpatient, and post‑acute environments.
• Provide consultative services for trauma, geriatric surgery, and verification programs.
• Participate in quality‑improvement projects, research, and mentorship of medical students and residents.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and advanced care practitioners.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or eligible in Geriatric Medicine.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient‑centered care and teamwork.
• Interest in teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
